With the aim to widen their curiosity, culture, and open-mindedness, the students began their diversity awareness unit on disabilities. Students listened to and watched clips about vision impairment. Highlights included the 100m and 200m dashes at the Paralympic games, run by both vision-impaired athletes and their guides. The students tried blindfolds at recess and during part of class. They will try sports with blindfolds very soon!
