Welcome from your pta co-presidents
Bonjour FISW Community,
We hope you had a relaxing and refreshing summer. As your PTA Co-Presidents, we would like to welcome all our new families into our community and welcome back our wonderful returning families.
We would like to begin by applauding our teachers who did such an exemplary job with online teaching at the end of the last school year. Barbara, the teachers and the staff have yet again worked very hard to prepare for another successful school year full of growth and amazing memories.
Did you know that as an FISW parent, you are already a member of the PTA? The PTA is an organization that is committed to making a difference by building a strong community for all our families. We partner with parents, teachers, staff and community on many levels to bring fun and educational speakers, events and opportunities for our families to enrich your school experience.
This year brings new challenges as K-5 is starting online rather than in person. It is going to take some adjusting by all of us as we learn to adapt to this new virtual style of learning. However, with patience and teamwork I am sure we will be able to overcome these tough times.
Each year the PTA works with the school to organize social and educational events, which provide an excellent opportunity for our community members to interact and get acquainted with one another. While this year the events might be a little different we promise to do our best to make them as enjoyable as ever. If you would like to volunteer or learn more about the PTA, please feel free to email the PTA or check out our website, which will be updated for the 2020-21 school year soon. To navigate to the PTA website, please go to FISW.org -> Our Community -> PTA Website or click https://fiswpta.wordpress.com/
We look forward to your support in strengthening our community and showing our children the importance we place on their education. Lastly, I would like to thank the outgoing PTA officers for their dedication and great work last year.
