The third graders are flat! After working reading half of our book Flat Stanley and seeing how Stanley is able to travel to visit his family and friends by being mailed in a large envelope, they decided that they would also like to travel as flat versions of themselves. The students selected a family member or a friend to send a letter and a flat version of themselves. Then, they carefully addressed the envelopes and sent them off! Their friends and family will be sending pictures of themselves with the "Flat Stanley" version of The 3rd Graders to our teacher. Some of them were asked to visit specific places, like the beach or a favorite restaurant while we're on their trip. They are traveling all over the world and are very excited to see all kinds of new things.
