Finding a Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine Appointment

Locating and scheduling a COVID-19 vaccination appointment can be challenging. We wanted to share below some leads from fellow parents. We hope this is helpful for those still looking for appointments.

We've also heard from parents with questions and tips about where to learn more about the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine. We will share these resources weekly as well.

If you have other tips or links to share, please email us here. Thank you for these valuable parent-to-parent resources.

Resources for more information about the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine:

- This information from Allegro Pediatrics includes a detailed FAQ and a recording of a very informative webinar.

- There is a Dec. 13 webinar with the WA state DOH. It looks like this is geared towards health care providers but appears open to the public:

An FISW family shared that they recently had luck finding both adult and pediatric appointments at Acasa Pharmacy in Kirkland. The family highly recommends calling to book an appointment rather than relying on the online link.

Leads and Links:

Allegro Pediatrics booked all 10,000 first dose appointments that were allotted to them by the WA Department of Health in just a few days and their drive-thru clinic is FULL, but they shared tips for finding appointments:

  • The WA Department of Health has added an option to filter your search by pediatric Pfizer doses and anticipates availability will begin to open up over the next several weeks.

  • University of Washington is offering the vaccine and your child can be added to their waitlist by calling the number on their website.

  • Seattle Children’s Hospital began offering pediatric 5-11 year old doses on November 9.

  • Pharmacies has begun receiving pediatric 5-11 year old doses this month.

  • Allegro Pediatrics is working through the many logistics that will be required to be able to offer the vaccine in our clinics. Our current hope is that we will be ready in early 2022.
