New Statewide covid-19 Restrictions

Nov 16, 2020

Dear FISW Community,

In light of the increased number of COVID-19 cases, Gov Inslee issued many new or resumed restrictions. Most of these restrictions do not apply to schools. However, some do have an impact on expectations for student and staff behavior outside of school.  We remind you that prior to commencing the 2020-21 school year, all members of the community signed acknowledgement forms affirming their commitment to comply with the Health and Safety Plan for the protection and well-being of the entire community.  This includes compliance with guidance from local, state, and federal public health authorities.

On Saturday, Gov Inslee issued New Restrictions prohibiting gathering with anyone outside of your household unless all parties (a) quarantine for fourteen days (14) prior to the social gathering; or (b) quarantine for seven (7) days prior to the social gathering and receive a negative COVID19 test result no more than 48-hours prior to the gathering. These restrictions are in effect through December 14.

These restrictions are in addition to a Travel Advisory issued by Governor Inslee on November 13 recommending against non-essential travel and urging anyone traveling from outside of Washington to self-quarantine for 14 days.

FISW will follow Governor Inslee’s policies to do our part to slow the spread of COVID-19. As members of our community, we are asking you to do your part.  Starting today, November 16, all students and staff are expected to quarantine for 14 days --

  • If they have not complied with quarantine and/or testing restrictions before gathering socially outdoors with more than 5 people or indoors with anyone outside of their household.

  • after traveling outside the state.

Thank you for your attention to the health and safety of our community. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions that you might have.
