Over the last two months, the 2nd grade students have been working on the writing genre:  personal narratives.  Their first task was to brainstorm personal moments to focus on for this writing task.  After deciding on their personal moment, they looked at various hooks to use at the beginning of their story.  As they drafted their story, students needed to think about adding details that focused on the five senses.  As they came to the end of their story, they needed to decide on a powerful endings. This is their 2nd  published work this year in 2nd grade! Bravo to the Orcas!
