Schedule
The school day at FISW is structured to fit the needs of each age group of children. All recess breaks are separated by age groups so that similar ages of children are playing together.
Preschool
The preschool day starts at 8:45am, with drop-off starting at 8:30am. Pickup is either at noon or 3:05pm.
The preschool program is available as a 3-morning format (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) for the youngest children, 5 mornings, or 5 full days.
Children in the preschool program have a morning snack and recess break with their own age groups. Snacks are provided by the school, but children who stay for lunch bring their own food in an insulated bag. After lunch, there is a break with recess, an afternoon nap or quiet session, and afternoon recess break.
Kindergarten
Children start their day at 8:30am, with drop-off starting at 8:15am. Pickup is at 3:15pm.
Kindergarten at FISW is a full-day program, according to the French Ministry of Education format. This year is a transition from the preschool program to the primary program.
Kindergarten children have a morning snack and recess break with their own age groups. There is also a lunch break with recess and an afternoon recess break. Snacks are provided by the school, but children bring their own lunch in an insulated bag. Primary Grades
For children in grades 1-5, the program is 8:30am until 3:15pm, with drop-off starting at 8:15am.
Children have morning recess, lunch and recess, and afternoon recess in addition to their school time. Children bring their own lunch, and snacks as desired, in an insulated bag.
